Learn and grow together

Community Lab

Many practical tips on AfricAgric, such as storage, handling and who might buy, are general suggestions rather than findings from sources. You know your crop, your market and your kitchen. Tell us what works, what does not and what is missing.

How it works

  1. Send your idea with the form below, or with the “Suggest an improvement” link on a product or opportunity page.
  2. We read every idea. Nothing is published automatically.
  3. If an idea is useful and safe, we list it under “From readers”, labelled as unverified. We may also use it to improve the page, and we add a source when we find one.

Please keep it practical

  • Describe what you did or saw yourself, and where.
  • Do not give medical, legal or regulatory advice, and do not promise health benefits.
  • Do not include prices, phone numbers or personal details of other people.
  • We may shorten, edit or decline ideas.

From readers

Ideas sent in by readers. They are not checked by AfricAgric, they are not advice, and they may not suit your place, your crop or the rules where you live. Check food, safety and legal rules with official sources.

  • About: Post-harvest loss and value addition

Africa has all the healthy food needed for longevity. We grow it, we eat little of it, and we throw much of it away. Adding value so that these foods can reach the shelves safely — as both a public good and a business — is an opportunity we must seriously start addressing. We save food We serve the world We make money and grow some more
