Your data

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit africagric.com and why.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who is responsible

The controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Payne William, Aachener Str. 43, 66115 Saarbrücken, Germany, email info@africagric.com. See also our Imprint & Contact page.

2. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, the servers process technical data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested page, browser and device type, to deliver the page securely and to detect misuse. This is based on our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel may process data outside the EU; transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Logs are kept only as long as needed for these purposes.

3. Cookies and similar storage

We store a language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) when you switch language, and your cookie choice in your browser's local storage. Both are strictly necessary to give you the service you asked for and do not need consent (§ 25(2) TDDDG).

Any other cookies, device identifiers or scripts, in particular for advertising and affiliate partners, are used only if you agree in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw or change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect what was lawful before.

4. Advertising and affiliate partners

We plan to show advertising (for example Google AdSense) and affiliate links. These partners may set cookies or similar identifiers and process data such as IP address, device information and pages viewed, to show and measure ads. They act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies and may process data outside the EU, including in the USA.

We load these scripts only after you accept them. If you reject, they are not loaded. This section will be updated with each partner's name and policy link before such a script goes live.

5. Contact form, ideas form and email

If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we process your name, email address and message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Form messages are sent as email through our mail provider IONOS SE (Germany), which acts on our behalf as a processor. We delete your message once your request is dealt with, unless legal retention duties apply.

The same applies to the Community Lab ideas form, where name and email are optional. We read each idea and publish it only if you ticked the box allowing publication (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), then only with the name or initials you entered, and never your email. You can withdraw your permission and ask us to remove a published idea at any time by writing to info@africagric.com.

6. External links

Our pages link to official and other websites. Once you follow a link, the privacy policy of that site applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@africagric.com to use these rights.

You may also complain to a data protection authority. For us this is the Unabhängiges Datenschutzzentrum Saarland (datenschutz.saarland.de), or the authority in your own place of residence.

8. Changes

We update this policy when our services change. The current version is always on this page.
